Storytelling Floor Discs:
80 Ann Street
Blaklash were engaged by Mirvac to develop a series of floor discs that responded to First Nations thematics.
Blaklash worked alongside Gaja Kerry Charlton, Yuggera Traditional Owner, to best understand the appropriate stories to share in relation to the development. In collaboration, we explored local histories connected to seafood - local mob shared knowledge of oyster fishing - and flora - specifically around plant species connected to the making of dilly bags.
Blaklash then worked to translate Gaja Kerry Charlton’s stories into effective and authentic design outcomes that provide an opportunity for conversation and learning within Mirvac’s new commercial tower at 80 Ann Street, Brisbane City.
